Company Overview

Libyan public joint-stock company with legal personality and independent financial liability. Its headquarters are located in the city of Benghazi.

The company’s functions were organized under its Articles of Association issued by Decision No. (250) of 2009, which were later amended and reissued under Council of Ministers Decision No. (836) of 2013

The company has gone through several administrative stages, and it is currently under the supervision of the Ministry of Water Resources.

Company Responsibilities

• Management, operation, maintenance, and upgrading of water desalination plants.
• Conducting technical and economic studies and research related to water desalination
• Exchange of information and technical expertise with relevant authorities and institutions
• Proposing executive policies for the development of the water desalination sector
• Proposing standard specifications and criteria for water production and desalination
• Implementing development projects in the field of water desalination.
• Preparing short-, medium-, and long-term strategic plans.
• Carrying out commercial agency activities related to the company’s operations in accordance with applicable legislation.
